It's been a while since Barbara sent me these stunning tracks of her singing and playing the guitar. She'd spent a melancholic summer 2017 in the south of France, trying to get some melodies out of her head on this instrument she'd just started to learn on her own. It somehow stunned me so much that I spent months and months working on arrangements that never satisfied enough my will to enhance the magic of these songs.
The word 'release' is today full of sens, as I feel liberated from a perfectionism that had few reasons to stick to such a beautiful piece of amateurism. Love and paradox...
As I publish the album, we're about to go on tour with ARLETTE, a band we just formed together with 3 friends of us. We amplified some of these songs and let the things go wilder. Hope I can publish something soon of this exciting step further.
